✈︎What is neuropsychology?

Neuropsychology is a speciality field within psychology that examines brain-behavior relationships. Neuropsychological evaluations assess for cognitive, behavioral, and psychological functioning.

✈︎What is a clinical neuropsychologist?

A clinical neuropsychologist is a licensed psychologist that has specialized training in neuropsychology. Neuropsychologists are doctoral level (Ph.D. & Psy.D.) providers who complete additional post-doctoral training to better understand and evaluate brain-behavior relationships. They provide comprehensive evaluations examining various neurocognitive domains (e.g., memory, attention, processing speed, etc.) as well as psychological/behavioral functioning.

Types of Evaluations

✈︎Potential Neurocognitive Impairment

Usually recommended for pilots with a history of head injury/concussion, stroke/TIA, MS, seizures, and other neurological conditions.

✈︎Psychological

For pilots with a significant mental health history.

✈︎ADHD: Standard Track

Comprehensive evaluation for pilots with a history of ADHD.

✈︎ADHD: Fast Track

Virtual evaluation for pilots with an uncomplicated ADHD history.

✈︎HIMS: SSRI

For pilots who require Special Issuance for current SSRI use.

✈︎HIMS: Drug/Alcohol

For pilots with a history of drug/alcohol abuse or dependence.
